What days of the week are retail shops in Alabama busiest?

May was the biggest month of the year overall for retail shops in the Yellowhammer State, no doubt thanks to a huge lift from Mother's Day Weekend. The week leading up to the holiday was the 2nd biggest week of the year, and the week before that was the 6th.

While May may have been the biggest month of the year overall, the holiday shopping season was responsible for the single-biggest week of the year for Alabama retailers: December 16th through the 22nd.

The holiday shopping season was responsible for the biggest day of the year, and a total of two of the top five days of the year overall. And, once again, Mother's Day shopping was big enough for retailers in Alabama to claim two of the top single-biggest days of the year.
