While May may have been the biggest month of the year overall, the holiday shopping season was responsible for the single-biggest week of the year for West Virginia retailers: December 16th through the 22nd.

The top four days of the year for retail shopping in West Virginia all fell on the weekend before Christmas (#1 and #2 day of the year) or the weekend before Mother's Day (#3 and #4).
