What days of the week are retail shops in Nevada busiest?

Fridays and Saturdays are busy at retail shops across the country, and things were no different for Nevada retail businesses.

 

 

Fridays were particularly big, as 19% of all retail revenue in Nevada came in on that day alone. On the other hand, Sunday was the slowest day of the week for Nevada retail shops, with 9% of revenue coming in on that day.

 

Saturday was the busiest day of the week in terms of foot traffic, with Nevada retail businesses processing an average of 18 transactions per day.

 

Nevadans spend more per transaction on weekdays, with Tuesdays claiming the largest average ticket size of the week at $89.19 per ticket. Locals are the most frugal on Sundays, when they spent an average of $24.29 less than on Tuesdays.

May was the biggest month of the year overall for retail shops in the Silver State, no doubt thanks to a huge lift from Mother's Day Weekend. The week leading up to the holiday was the 2nd biggest week of the year, and the week before that was the single-biggest week of the year. Other weeks included the week of Valentine's Day and weeks during the summer break.

 

Top 5 days for Nevada retail businesses

Saturday, March 31st was the single-biggest day of the year for retailers in Nevada, while the two Fridays before Mother's Day were also top five days. Black Friday was also big for Nevada retail, coming in as the third biggest day of the year overall.
