What days of the week are retail shops in Georgia busiest?

Georgians spend more per transaction on weekdays, with Tuesdays claiming the largest average ticket size of the week at $80.41 per ticket. Locals are the most frugal on Sundays, when lower-ticket-item shops are perhaps more likely to remain open than higher-end boutiques.

Spring break was huge for businesses in the the Peach State. March was the biggest month of the year overall, and 4 of the top 10 shopping weeks of the year fell during the spring break season (late February through early April).

While March may have been the biggest month of the year overall, the holiday shopping season was responsible for the single-biggest week of the year for Georgia retailers: December 16th through the 22nd.

The holiday shopping season was responsible for the biggest day of the year, and a total of three of the top five days of the year overall. Mother's Day shopping was also big from a single-day perspective for retailers in Georgia, accounting for the third biggest day of the year overall.
