Coloradans spend more per transaction on weekdays, with Tuesdays claiming the largest average ticket size of the week at $84.65 per ticket. Locals are the most frugal on Sundays, when they spent an average of $25.49 less than on Tuesdays.

Back to school shopping appears to really move the needle for local retailers in the Centennial State. August was the biggest month of the year overall, and 3 of the top 10 shopping weeks of the year fall during late August and early September.

While August may have been the biggest month of the year, the holiday shopping season was responsible for the single-biggest week of the year for Colorado retailers: December 16th through the 22nd.

The holiday shopping season was responsible for the biggest day of the year, and a total of three of the top five days of the year overall. Mother's Day shopping was also big for local retail shops in Colorado, accounting for the fourth biggest day of the year overall.
