PHOENIX — Arizona restaurants recorded the largest revenue increases in the United States during spring break last year, a recent report found.

The report, conducted by the business management software company Womply, found that the best revenue days for Arizona restaurants occurred on March 3, 4, 11 and 25, according to the Phoenix Business Journal.

Those days fell on weekends last year.

The report found that restaurants in Arizona had a 21 percent increase in revenue on those weekends compared to other weekends.

Brad Plothow, Womply’s vice president of marketing, told the publication that this report could be important to restaurants by helping them take advantage of peak times.

“You need to know how to staff your restaurant to cater to big peak times,” he said.

The month of March was also the best sales month for Arizona restaurants, the report found.

March was considered “peak tourism season” for the state, mostly due to spring breakers and spring training.

However, other top destinations, including southern California and Hawaii, did not see an increase in revenue, the report found.

The report was conducted by analyzing transactions at 26,000 small restaurants in the nation last year.
