How do I log into the SmartBiz Loans PPP application?

SmartBiz will have you set up a password and username during the application process. The username will be the email address you used to apply for the PPP loan. If you do not remember your password, simply click the “Forgot Password” button and an email will be sent to the email associated with the account with directions to reset it.

How do I know if my SmartBiz Loans PPP application is complete?

Once the application has been finished you will receive a notification inside the application stating, “Thanks for providing the necessary documents” and will allow you to click a button at the bottom of the screen marked “Track my Loan.” If you have not finished your application, you will receive a notification via email detailing the necessary next steps in order to complete the application process. Once you log back into your application your dashboard will show you the current status of the loan.

How do you search your email to find messages from SmartBiz Loans?

To search for email messages from SmartBiz, simply navigate to the ‘search’ inside your email and type in SmartBiz (one word). This will pull up any and all correspondence from your lender.

How do you log back into your application after you’ve applied for the PPP with SmartBiz Loans?

In order to log back into your application, simply navigate to the SmartBiz home page (or click on the link sent to you via email) and enter in your username and password. Once you enter in your credentials you will be automatically taken back into your application where you can see the status of your application if submitted or the necessary steps required in order to submit the application itself.

How can I check the status of my application with SmartBiz Loans?

To check the status of your application with SmartBiz, simply log into your application. Once you have logged into their system, you will be able to see the current status of your application or the necessary next steps in order to submit your application for processing.

Why does it look like there are multiple applications in the system when it asks for my documents?

This portion of the application is split into two different sections: owner and business. This way they can help keep the documentation as organized as possible. There are not two applications in the system. It is two different portals in which you will enter different sets of information.

What is the email address that SmartBiz Loans will use to send correspondence about my application?

All emails associated with SmartBiz about your PPP loan application will come from the address support@smartbizloans.com. Here’s a couple of tips per email carrier on how to make sure these do not end up in your spam.

 

Gmail 

Desktop – in the upper right-hand corner click on the 9 dots next to your profile icon, in the drop-down select contacts, click ‘create contact’ in the upper left corner and then ‘create a contact’. Enter in the first name as SmartBiz and the email above, click save

Mobile – inside the mobile application, click on the 3 lines in the upper left corner. Select ‘contacts’ from the drop-down under the section Google Apps. Click the blue plus sign in the lower right-hand corner and enter in the first name as SmartBiz and email address as shown above)

 

Yahoo 

Click the contacts icon on the right-hand side of the inbox, scroll to the bottom of the drop-down and select ‘new contact’, enter in their first name as SmartBiz and email address as shown above.

 

Hotmail 

In the Windows Live Hotmail main window, click the Contacts link, this will take you to the Contacts page. Select ‘new’ and enter in the first name as Cross River and the email as shown above

 

Outlook 

Select the ‘people’ icon in the lower left-hand corner, then ‘new contact’ and then enter in the first name as Cross River and the email as shown above

What documents will I need for the SmartBiz Loans PPP application?

  • Payroll documentation using a CARES Act Report, or an IRS 941s (Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return)
  • Photo ID (i.e., driver’s license or passport)
  • Bank account information
  • Tax returns
