  • How does PPP Fast Lane work?

The Paycheck Protection Program has issued over $648 BILLION dollars in forgivable PPP loans so far, trying to support America’s small businesses and workers. However, the SBA’s attempts to reach the vital small-business core of America has not been as successful as it could be.

Up to 41.1 million non-employer businesses could qualify for PPP, but only 3% of PPP funds have gone to businesses with 0 or 1 employees. In fact, 96% of these businesses or individuals did not apply for PPP loans in 2020.

Womply built PPP Fast Lane to change all of that. Let’s go over some of the key features of this new, streamlined process built for contractors, gig workers, self-employed people, and other businesses without employees.

Gig workers, freelancers, independent contractors, self-employed and more are eligible for PPP loans. Check your eligibility with Womply in as little as 5 minutes, and you could receive up to $41,666 in forgivable PPP loans!

What is PPP Fast Lane?

Womply’s PPP Fast Lane is a streamlined PPP application process built specifically for independent contractors, gig workers, 1099 workers, and any self-employed person without employees.

Since we’ve automated much of the redundant questions and non-applicable documentation requirements for applicants who don’t have employees and who are applying for smaller loan amounts, it only takes about 5 minutes to get your application started, your documentation uploaded, and your data verified.

How is PPP Fast Lane optimized for non-employer businesses, contractors, and gig workers?

One of the reasons businesses without employees, independent contractors, Uber drivers, etc. have been underserved by the PPP is that they often don’t think of themselves as “small businesses” so they don’t even know they can apply. They also don’t usually have access to CPAs or knowledgeable financial advisors, and when they do apply, they’re more likely to have PPP application errors and be disqualified.

It’s also more likely that these “underserved” businesses and individuals can’t find an SBA-approved lender who will process and accept their PPP loan applications, since some lenders have stopped taking applications for loans for the smaller amounts that are more common among truly small businesses, contractors, gig workers, housekeepers, Doordash drivers, etc.

In addition, other PPP application processes are often complex and time-consuming, since they were designed for businesses with multiple employees, a staff of CPAs, and piles of complicated paperwork to sort through.

PPP Fast Lane was specifically designed and built from the ground up for non-employer businesses, sole proprietors, gig workers, independent contractors, and self-employed individuals. Once you select a few simple options, much of the application process is automated for you based on your responses.

Womply’s PPP Fast Lane is easy, it’s simple, and it’s here to help you get your PPP Loans ASAP.

Remember, the application deadline for PPP loans is March 31, 2021, so start your PPP application now!

What documents are required for PPP Fast Lane?

Before you apply via PPP Fast Lane, make sure you have:

  • PDF copy of IRS Form 1040 and attached Schedule C or Schedule F from 2019

See our FAQ if you have questions about how to find or provide your IRS Form 1040 and attached Schedule C and/or Schedule F.

Can I use tax documents from another year (2020, 2018, etc.)?

Not currently. PPP Fast Lane only works with 2019 tax filings. If the PPP is extended beyond March 31, 2020, we will consider adding support for 2020 filings.

(To qualify for a PPP loan, you must have been in business on or before February 15, 2020.)

Who can use PPP Fast Lane?

PPP Fast Lane is completely free and available to any eligible business. To check your eligibility, please start by filling out the form here — if you are eligible based on your answers then you will automatically have the option to apply with PPP Fast Lane. If you are not eligible for PPP Fast Lane, you may still be eligible for the PPP program and we will automatically connect you to a lender who we believe will be able to serve you.

How much does PPP Fast Lane cost?

PPP Fast Lane is completely free. It’s illegal for any company to charge a borrower to access the PPP program. Companies such as Womply (we are not a lender) receive compensation from our lender partners. Lenders get paid fees by the government for providing PPP loans. Neither Womply nor any PPP lender will charge you to access the PPP program.

Do I have to apply for PPP loans through Womply or PPP Fast Lane to get funded?

No, you are under no obligation to apply for the PPP through Womply or PPP Fast Lane. In fact, there are over 5,000 lending institutions that are approved by the SBA to originate PPP loans (and Womply is NOT one of them—we are a technology company). If you would prefer to work with a lender that doesn’t work with Womply you can find one here. We hope to earn your business, but mostly we want to make sure you get funded!

PPP Fast Lane simplifies the application process and helps you get up to $41,666 in forgivable stimulus funding!

Remember, you only have until March 31, 2021 to apply for up to $41,666 in forgivable PPP loans. Get started today! We built PPP Fast Lane for you. Put your PPP application in the Fast Lane!
