How to create and claim your YP.com business listing
Let’s get down to it.
Step 1: Go to YP.com and sign up for an account.
Go to yellowpages.com and click “Sign Up” in the top right corner.
You have the option to sign up with Facebook or Google or to set up a new user account with your email. Any of these options will work. Click “Join YP!”
Step 2: Create your YP.com business listing
Next, go back to the home page for yellowpages.com and scroll down to the “Claim your business section.” Click “Get Your Free Listing!”
Or, you can go directly to this link.
Next, type in your business name and phone number on the screen you are brought to. Click “Get my free listing.”
Then, fill out your contact information and click “Claim Now.”
After that, you will be brought to a form to fill out your business information. If your business already exists on yellowpages.com then some of this information will be filled out for you. If the form is blank, that means your business doesn’t exist and you can add it now.
Add the following information to this form:
- Business name
- Business address
- City, state, zip
- Business owner first and last name
- Business email (for customers to contact you)
- Business category
- Description of your business
Step 3: Verify your YP.com business listing
The last step is to claim your YP.com business listing with a phone call. Simply click “Verify by phone” and YP.com will place an automated call to your business. They will show a code on-screen for you to enter into the keypad on your business phone. Once that is done, your business is officially verified on YP.com!
