Atlanta Dogwood Festival

Although the 2020 event was canceled, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival is hopeful to make a revival in 2021. Watch for more updates at dogwood.org.
Atlanta’s Dogwood Festival was established more than 80 years ago as a celebration to welcome the spring and appreciate the beautiful dogwood trees that surrounded the area.
Since then, more dogwood trees have been planted and the festival has continued strong throughout the years (with the exception of some time when it was discontinued due to World War II).

While the 2020 event was cancelled, Atlanta hopes to bring back this tradition and make it bigger and better in 2021.
Every year for the past 30 years (except last year), Atlanta holds the Peach Drop to celebrate the new year. Carnival rides, live music, family entertainment, and an arcade are just some of the fun. National acts and celebrities perform at this annual event, drawing in attention from near and far.
Most of the local restaurants, bars, and other entertainment venues stay open until the morning hours of the new year and benefit from the celebration.
