Just over 100 miles east of Dallas is the annual Great Texas Balloon Race in Longview, TX. This worldwide event draws in the best balloon pilots from all over the globe to compete in a three-day race from the City of Longview to the East Texas Regional Airport.

Texas’ longest-standing marathon takes place in Dallas every year. Since 1971, the BMW Dallas Marathon takes runners through the great city of Dallas to experience beautiful neighborhoods and the various entertainment districts.
Throughout this weekend a marathon is not the only race that will take place. Other races include a half-marathon, 50K Ultra Marathon, 2-person half marathon relay, 4-person marathon relay, 10K, 5K, 2-mile, 1-mile, and several kids’ races.
