VP of Engineering and Product Management
Mehdi Ghazizadeh leads the product and engineering organizations at Womply to bring software, data, and technology services together for the benefit of American small businesses. He brings deep expertise in software development, technology management, and product discipline to Womply.
For more than 25 years, Mehdi has built and led engineering and product teams at large and small organizations. Prior to Womply, Mehdi led engineering and product teams at Docker, StubHub, Elastra, Sun Microsystems, and others. At Docker, Mehdi led the Docker Hub and Docker Cloud product management and engineering teams, enabling teams to automate the build, test, and deployment workflows of distributed Docker applications. At StubHub, Mehdi led the global engineering organization, with responsibility for all application and platform software development and architecture which supported a $3 billion annual marketplace and annual revenues exceeding $800 million. He also led business development for the cloud server product at Elastra and built several software engineering teams from the ground up at Sun Microsystems over a 12-year tenure at the company.
Mehdi’s passion is to create world-class software products built by world-class product and engineering teams. He is especially motivated by the prospect of that software helping a small business segment that employs half of working population in the country and accounts for half of all sales in the U.S.
Mehdi graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from UC San Diego and has an MBA from Santa Clara University. He lives in the Bay Area with his wife of 18 years and two boys ages 13 and 10.
