  2. What information does Womply collect?

    We gather various types of Personal Information from our users, as explained more fully below. We may use this Personal Information to personalize and improve our services, to allow our users to set up a user account and profile, to contact users, to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, to analyze how users utilize the Website, and as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy. We may share certain types of Personal Information with third parties (as set forth in this Section and in Section III below). We collect the following types of information:

    • Information you provide to us:

      We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us. For example, during the registration process, we collect Personal Information such as your name, email address, IP address, browser information, and payment card information. If you provide you connect certain third party accounts to Womply (i.e. Facebook), you are consenting to have the information in those accounts (“Third Party Account Information”) transmitted into your account with us, and that Third Party Account Information transmitted to our Website is covered by this Privacy Policy. We may collect other Personal Information you provide us through your use of our services, such as optional email surveys regarding your Womply merchant experiences. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our special features.

    • Information collected automatically:

      • Whenever you interact with our Website, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, “cookie” information, and the page you requested. “Cookies” are identifiers we transfer to your computer through your browser that allow us to recognize your browser, customize your Womply experience and tell us how and when pages in our site are visited and by how many people.       • The use of third party cookies by our partners, affiliates, tracking utility company, service providers is not covered by our privacy statement. We do not have access or control over these cookies. Our partners, affiliates, tracking utility company, service providers use session ID cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site.

      • Our third party advertising partner Google Ads employs a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.

      • We also collect information from merchants that relates to your spending (when you use a linked debit or credit card). This data allows us to personalize your Womply experience. It is also enables us to spot your transactions so we can issue you qualifying rebates.

      • We also collect usage information, including without limitation the numbers and frequency of visitors to our site, the dollar amount and frequency of payment card transactions that occur on our site. We may provide this aggregate information to our partners, so that they can understand how often people use their services and our Website, so that they, too, can provide you with an optimal shopping experience.

This confirmation helps us make emails more interesting and improve our service.

  3. Will Womply share any of the personal information it receives?

    We neither rent nor sell your Personal Information in personally identifiable form to anyone. We share your Personal Information in personally identifiable form with third parties only as described below.

    • Affiliated Businesses and Third Party Websites We Do Not Control:

      In certain situations, businesses or third party websites we’re affiliated with may sell items or provide services to you through the Website (either alone or jointly with us). We may, for example, sell products or provide services jointly with affiliated businesses, or work with third party websites to enhance your online experience. You can recognize when an affiliated business is associated with such a transaction or service, and we will share your Personal Information with that affiliated business only to the extent that it is related to such transaction or service. One such service includes the ability for you to purchase Vouchers on the Website and redeem them at our partners’ places of business. In this case we provide our partner less Personally Identifiable Information than you would when transacting at their business. Specifically, we will provide them your first name, the last four digits of your payment card number and a transaction ID number that corresponds with their systems. This enables them to audit their records to ensure you were a real customer and you were eligible for any Womply promotions that we apply to your account. Another such service may include the ability for you to choose to automatically transmit information you input on the Website to your profile on a third party website, or to automatically transmit Third Party Account Information to your Website profile. We have no control over the policies and practices of third party websites as to privacy or anything else, so if you choose to allow the automatic transmissions discussed above, please review all third party websites’ policies before engaging in such automatic transmissions on the Website.

    • Agents:

      We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you. Unless we tell you differently, our agents do not have any right to use the Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. For example, if you were to engage in a credit card transaction via the Website, we would need to allow a credit card processing company to verify the transaction; however, that company would only be authorized to use your credit card information to the extent we needed their assistance in completing your transaction.

    • Business Transfers:

      We may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, customer information is typically one of the business assets that is transferred.   4. Is personal information about me secure?

    The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

    We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

    Your account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need to prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account. If you use Facebook Connect or another third party service to login to Womply then you must protect access to those accounts.

    We endeavor to protect the privacy of your account and other Personal Information we hold in our records, but we cannot guarantee complete security.

    We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Please contact us if you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services.  We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
